Senior Engineer
Duties: Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management information systems. Minimum requirements are:
- BS Degree from an accredited college or university in electrical, electronic, computer, mechanical, or physics.
Total of 10 years of general experience in engineering, including test, evaluation, design or improvement of radar and landing and control systems. Of the 10 years, 6 years of experience with PALS and/or Navy/Marine Corps ATC and related equipment.
Senior Engineering Technician
Duties: Supervise technical personnel at the project level. Develops or performs reviews of technical documents and drawings. Applies engineering techniques, principles and procedures to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electronic equipment/systems. Maintains, reports, inspects, or troubleshoots electronic equipment/systems. Minimum requirements are:
- HS diploma or equivalent plus completion of 2 years of college, vocational school, or military training in advanced electronic theory.
- A total of 10 years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, design, performance analysis and evaluation of electronic equipment including development of specifications, engineering change proposals, or test procedures. Of the 10 years, 4 years of specific experience in field service of shipboard ATC&LS equipment is required.
Engineering Technician (Electrical)
Duties: Tracks project progress to ensure schedule and budgetary requirements are met. Develops or performs reviews of technical documents and drawings. Applies engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electronic quipment/systems. Maintains, repairs, inspects, or troubleshoots electronic equipment/systems. Minimum requirements are:
- HS diploma or equivalent plus completion of 2 years of college, vocational school, or military training in advanced electronic theory.
- A total of 6 years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, design, performance analysis and evaluation of electronic equipment including development of specifications, engineering change proposals, or test procedures. Of the 6 years, 2 years of specific experience in field service of shipboard ATC&LS equipment is required.
Senior Electronics Technician
Duties: Provides technical support for the scheduling equipment and sub-equipment. Applies advance technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufactures manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location of faults in dense circuitry, isolating malfunctions and incorporating engineering changes. This labor category may supervise lower level technical personnel on a task basis. This labor category shall support electronic system, subsystem, component installation, integration, test and evaluation, troubleshooting, and repair. Minimum requirements are:
- HS diploma or equivalent plus completion of 2 years of college, vocational school, or military training in advanced electronic theory of radar or communications systems.
- Total of 6 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems. Of
the 6 years, 4 years of specific experience in electronic troubleshooting and field service of
shipboard ATC&LS equipment is required
OR
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Total 10 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems. Of the
10 years, 4 years of specific experience in field service of shipboard ATC&LS equipment is
required. Detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and the ability to
exercise independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses,
calculating waveforms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Proficient with the use of
complex test instruments such as high frequency generators, frequency synthesizers,distortion analyzers and complex computer control equipment. Able to provide
technical guidance in support of Internet disconnects, computer failures, and database updates
as they pertain to the site-specific information. Able to provide phone and in-person support
to authorized users.
Electronics Technician
Duties: Support electronic system, subsystem, component installation, integration, test and evaluation, troubleshooting, and repair. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. Provides technical assistance in support of Internet disconnects, computer failures, and database updates as they pertain to site specific information. May also be required to provide phone and in-person support to authorized users. Receives technical guidance, as required, from higher level technicians. Minimum requirements are:
- HS diploma or equivalent plus completion of 2 years of college, vocational school, or military training in advanced electronic theory of radar or communications systems.
- Total of 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems. Of the 4 years, 2 years of specific experience in electronic troubleshooting and in field service of ATC&LS equipment is required.
OR
- HS diploma or equivalent, plus successful completion of U.S. Navy Electronic “C” School or equivalent.
- Total of 7 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems with 2 years of specific experience working with ATC&LS equipment is required.
Lead Technician
Duties: Provide Lead support in combat system interfaces, system design, component installation, integration, test and evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and validation of equipment, systems and subsystems. This category may supervise lower level technical personnel on a task basis. Minimum requirements are:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, and two years college, vocational, or military training in electronic theory or radar communications.
- A total of 8 years of experience performing the foregoing functions. Of the 8 years at least 6 years of the total foregoing experience shall have consisted of specific experience in ATC&LS equipment, systems and subsystems, and experience managing personnel.
